Chris Bosh Out With Knee Injury

Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh will be sidelined with swollen right knee for at least a week. The all-star missed Sunday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats. He is the teams leading scorer and rebounder.

No structural damage was diagnosed after a recent MRI examination. Bosh will miss the final two games of the team's current road trip, against the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat. Forward Rasho Nesterovic started for Bosh against Charlotte.

Bosh is averaging a stellar 23 points and 9 rebounds per game, and just participated in his third all-star game.

The Raptors are in the midst of the Eastern Conference race for the playoffs at 32-25. The team is one game behind the Magic and in a virtual tie with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In Bosh's absense, center/forward Andrea Bargnani will need to step up his level of play for the team to remain competitive.
