NBA Finals Most-watched Programs in June

June 20 -- The NBA finals games between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers were the six highest-rated and most-watched programs so far in June. It was the first time that has happened in seven years.

The Celtics' victory over Los Angeles averaged a 9.3 rating for the series, up 50% over the 6.2 for the San Antonio Spurs' sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers last year. Boston's game 6 clincher on earned a 10.7 rating on ABC, averaging 16.9 million viewers over the course of the game. Game 5, two nights earlier, averaged 17.4 million viewers.

The last time the NBA finals series swept the top spots was in 2001, when the Lakers defeated the Allen Iverson-lead Philadelphia 76ers in five games.
