Antawn Jamison, Amare Stoudemire Players of the Week

March 18 - Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison and Phoenix Suns forward Amare Stoudemire were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively.

Jamison led the Wizards to a perfect 3-0 mark, with wins over the Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 25 points and 9.7 rebounds during the undefeated week, helping his team above the .500 mark for the first time since early February. After tallying two double-doubles on the week, Jamison's 37 for year are the second highest total in the Eastern Conference. Only Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has more, with 59.

Stoudemire also led Phoenix to a 3-0 week, with three wins against Western Conference opponents. He averaged 32 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 blocks, recording back-to-back 30-point, 10-rebound games against the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings.

Other nominees for Players of the Week were the Philadelphia 76ers' Andre Iguodala, Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James, the Atlanta Hawks' Joe Johnson, New Orleans Hornets' Chris Paul, Orlando Magic's Rashard Lewis, Houston Rockets' Tracy McGrady and Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki.
